Obtaining administrative services, passports abroad

For many Ukrainians who are outside Ukraine, there is a need to obtain various administrative services and issue passports. This may be necessary for various reasons: from updating documents to obtaining certificates or confirmations. In this regard, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law LAW OF UKRAINE No. 11017 "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Provision of Certain Administrative Services to Citizens of Ukraine, including abroad", which will enter into force on August 19, 2024.

Preparation of documents: Usually, the following documents are required for passport registration: valid passport, birth certificate (for children), document on change of surname, 10x15 photos for children under 12 years of age, identification code. Submission of documents: Come to the consulate at the appointed time and submit all the necessary documents.
Payment of fees: Pay the consular fee for passport processing. The amount of the fee may vary depending on the type of passport and the terms of production.
Waiting: The processing of a passport application can take from 7 to 20 working days. Under martial law, the delivery time for ready-made passports ranges from 6 to 9 days and may be delayed up to 3 weeks. After the passport is ready, you will be notified about the possibility of obtaining it.
