How does a digital weapon permit work?

To use the new feature, you need to update the application, go to the “Documents” section, select “Add document” and click “Weapon permits”. If the weapon is registered in the Unified Weapons Register and the tax number is confirmed, the permit will be displayed automatically.

This feature is already available to citizens over 18 years of age whose possession of weapons is officially registered. This means that law enforcement agencies can check the permit without having to request paper documents – everything is in electronic format.

At first glance, it seems that this is just another convenience, but in fact it is much more.

What does this change for gun owners?
Previously, losing or damaging a permit could be a real problem. At best, you had to spend time getting a new document, at worst, it could cause administrative difficulties.
